First Mac OS X Lion Crash

Crash Symptom: Loss of keyboard and mouse input, whether onboard or Bluetooth. Power button was only button responsive in that it brought up the Restart dialog box, but still no other interaction would allow a restart other than to hold the power button until the machine powered down. Once restarted, controls were back to normal. Ran through verify disk and verify permissions tests and the disk needed permission repairs, but not sure if this has anything to do with OS X Lion malfunctioning so irradically.
