Akirah 3.1 ROM

The Akirah 3.1 ROM kicks butt!  Overall the Akirah ROMs seem stable and snappier.

Ideas for improvement:

Background daemon process should take second priority to user operated processes. For instance, I use the email application with a 5 minute interval new mail check and when my phone falls asleep, it stops checking for new mail until I wake my phone up to look something up. Loading a web page or doing anything that requires network connectivity is hogged by the stupid email client that waits till I need my phone before it checks the mail.. It probably wouldn't be an issue if T-Mobile woke up and put 3G in areas where AT&T already has. Better network bandwidth and bandwidth sharing or throttling would make the phone a little more useful to me.

Browser textarea input on focus loses touch and drag view functionality. The only way out is to use track ball to get to the edge of the textarea so a tap on the the page holding the textarea element would release textarea focus and regain page scrolling functionality. WYSIWYG, FCKEditors and CKEditors do not work on textareas within the Android browser. Once the javascript gets assigned to the textarea, the Android browser doesn't recognize that it is an input.

Trackballing around a browser page when entering textarea or text field jumps cursor to beginning, rather than whatever was closest to entry. Very annoying.

Are post uploads in the browser still disabled?

Browser goes bonkers on dhtml menus..

Textareas in browser focus and navigate totally weird.

Sharing Camera images through email is slow to send. It would be nice to snap a picture and upload it with one device. Opera browser supposedly has browser uploads enabled for the Android OS.
