Philips 42" Full 1080p LCD / Model 42PFL3704D/F7

DSCN1072.JPGMy old Mitsubishi rear projection TV took a crap the other day. With the winter months coming, I went ahead and bought the Philips 42" Full 1080p LCD flat screen from Walmart in Poulsbo, Washington.

The Philips 42" 1080p LCD is awesome. However, it has one drawback that, in my opinion, ruins the whole experience: NO VARIABLE SOUND OUTPUT!

First thing I do when getting a TV is plug it into BIGGER sound through the audio out RCA jacks. When I moved the volume up and down on the remote, the sound only stayed at the highest output. The volume on the remote only controls the internal speakers. I looked for a setting to enable variable audio out, but there was no such option.

This TV set is great for those who will not be using the screen with bigger sound. There must be other screens on the market that have not dropped this key feature like Philips has with this particular model. I returned the TV for this one reason: Defective Variable Audio Out
