Mac OS 10.6.2: Burn ISO Image to Disk Issue

Mac OS, Snow Leopard, is usually pretty solid, but today I experienced another issue:

I downloaded a Ubuntu 9.10 CD image from the Internet and went through the usual paces to burn the CD by right clicking the ISO file and selecting "Burn Ubuntu-9.10-desktop-amd64.iso to disk".

When the CD was done and verified, the contents contained the original file and not the ISO structure within the file. My Mac burned the original ISO file!! How crazy!

In an attempt to deal with making a CD and not fixing a program, I right clicked the file, "Open With", and "Disk Utility". In Disk Utility, I selected the image file to burn on the left, and the burn emblem at the top.

My workaround for burning an ISO image on a Mac Snow Leopard OS 10.6.2 to CD worked.
