apt-get install memtest86, apt-get install memtest86+, not in grub menu

sudo apt-get install memtest86 sudo reboot
After rebooting, surprisingly, there was no memtest86 entry in the grub menu. What the???
Booted up again..
sudo nano /boot/grub/menu.lst
Uncomment memtest86=true, save and exit.. Then
sudo update-grub
Reboot..
