Law vs Love

As an Internet user, having little or no experience administrating servers, you may get an email from MAILER-DAEMON@localhost*, subjected "undelivered mail returned to sender" and think nothing of it. However for us administrators, it freaks us out, as these emails outright hit us with an alarming impact, simply because this is usually what happens when our mail servers can't get the mail out.

Spammers have been labeling their mail as such for the previous two years and its getting too predictable. If you had the chance to stop a spammer from getting too big, would you? Or has our freedom of business as an American right desensitized us to the point where we can't tell the difference or simply don't care?

If a person has the right to say "look man, I don't want to be preached at" so should the same be for spam in its 99.99999% unwanted form.

In my opinion, pushing more laws only limits the do good people; the do bad people don't listen to laws. We as Americans, should be wise enough to look into the causes for such spam and marketted garbage on the Internet. Maybe the spammers are confused people, lost, directionless, Godless, or totally backwards in thinking success is how much money I can get. The opposite of law is love.

Making more laws just creates a need for more laws.

Giving somebody the time of day has a greater impact on that person's life than passing more laws that everyone else has to pay to then abide to.

Sigh
