I've made many purchases in my lifetime, but the Miller Dynasty 200 DX is one of my finest buys. Even if you offered me cash for the full brand new amount, or even twice that, I wouldn't let it go; it's simply too valued by it's utility in metal fabrication.

*** Actually, I need to finish my review on the Miller Dynasty 200DX.. For now, I will say, this Miller machine will be the last tool I sell! Seriously!!! You can make many tools with this little box!

I will be covering the Miller Dynasty 200 DX TIG Welder in this review..

I must say, there's no way I could have built my first electric bike without the Miller Dynasty 200 DX.

The unit costed about $3200 on ebay brand new a couple of years back, warranty, free shipping, and $200 less than the local welding supply store could offer it.

Once received, I purchased the smallest Argon bottle, gloves, helmet and fill rod sample pack from the local Port Townsend Central Welding Supplier.

MANUALS:

The Miller Dynasty 200 DX Package Contained:

  • Stick/Rod Leads
  • Ground Leads
  • TIG Torch, cups, tips, clasps, and various tungsten guages
  • Gas Regulator with Guages, hose, and hose couplers
  • Extra twist lock lead ends
  • Dynasty 200 DX Machine
  • Extensive Manual for operation

Cons:

  • There was only one con to this unit and I had fixed it upon noticing it. My first few bottle exchanges were emptying faster than I estimated. I soaped every junction and still nothing. I asked the local Central Welding Store about sending it back to Miller for Warranty, but they said it could take a couple of weeks if not more. So rather than wait for a machine to be useable again, I took the cover off the machine myself and found that the gas solenoid was loose on its pipe threads. I unscrewed it, reapplied teflon tape and snugged it back down. Since, the machine has been trouble free.

Pros:

  • Imagine bonding two metals together.. Imagine projects, gokarts, bikes, jewelry, or whatever. With the machine, you don't have to imagine. The machine comes fully decked with every adjustment known to fabricating aluminum. If you like a certain cycle frequency, dial it it. Others prefer higher or lower, but the machine is so adjustable that you'd realize that you were spoiled trying another TIG machine.
