The Miller Pro-Hobby auto-darkening helmet is essential in making good welds. Although the Pro-Hobby helmet is the lowest on the scale of Miller helmets, it was on sale at the time and what I could afford. As you pay more for the helmet line that Miller offers, the view windows enlarge in size, therefore giving a wider angle of view.
The only cons I've had with the helmet, are that it times out and you have to push the button inside the helmet to get it turned back on. This is a big deal. Say you're ready to weld and end up flashing your eyes with UV because the helmet turned itself off. Not good.
Also, another con, is that the UV sensors sometimes don't pickup, even if the sensetivity is turned up. This is another flash to your eyes.
Although I've gotten use to the cons and make habits to push the on button every time I go to weld, my previous helmet was a Lincoln Electric brand that auto-shaded anytime, anyday, anywhere without being neither off, nor on, and charged by placing the helmet in the light.
