F-Spot for Ubuntu 9.10 changed dates on image import

I'm very disappointed that I've continued to use F-Spot photo manager. Perhaps just shutting down the project all together would remove the problems. Nothing works in F-Spot. The user interface is clunky and there's no image property browser or email to client right click functionality. It's crap software.

Recently, I noticed that my images are not right on the timeline. Images from 2006 are sitting in 2010. The metadata dates were tampered with by F-Spot from the last import.

To anyone getting into Ubuntu 9.10, do not import your images into F-Spot. Rather, remove the program and find something else. It's a time saver to use the filesystem over F-Spot.

sudo apt-get remove f-spot
